Surveying And Mapping:

The survey crew of Paul Lee Consulting Engineering Associates, Inc. are well equipped with modern technology to obtain fast, effecient and accurate field data. The company utilizes sophisticated field equipment like Topcon GPT3005 and 3005w, Sokia SET 4100, Topcon Hyperlite GPS System, TDS Recon and TDS Ranger hand-held computers/data collection devices. With the addition of Motorolla XBT radios, Schonstedt metal detectors and Leitz analog levels, the field equipment provides excellent reliability to gather evidence as needed. All field data is checked for conformance to specifications after which a least squares adjustment is applied before any survey/mapping is released.

The company has three (3) registered Professional Land Surveyors in-house. Additional staff members are presently awaiting admittance to sit for the registration examination or are in academic pursuit of the requirements for such.

Computer Services:

Paul Lee Engineering Associates, Inc.Consulting Engineering maintains comprehensive computer services for the technical and clerical activities throughout the company. Having recognized early on the advantages of operating an in-house computer system, PLCEA established and continually maintains and improves its capabilities in this important support base.

PLCEA's computer system consists of an arrangement of Dell 670 Precision Work Stations. These PC's offer our company the tools for publishing, word processing, presentation graphics, computer aided design/drafting and coordinate geometry. PLCEA utilizes AutoCAD 2009 for its CAD software. AutoCAD has become the benchmark for all CAD applications. The speed and ease with which a drawing can be prepared and modified using a compuer offers a phenomenal advantage over hand preparation. The addition of an OCE TDS 600 printer system with a 42" scanner allows our firm to expedite the in-house printing process. PLCEA utilizes this sophisticated technology as an efficient time saver for project development.

PLCEA's tools, processes and employees allow a project to go from order to completion in a short time frame. Computer graphics can be produced in slide and color printed format for Public Hearings and neighborhood workshops. Translation of data from PLCEA's computer network to all popular formats is quick and error free. Therefore, PLCEA can produce drawings that can be utilized by other disciplines such as Architects and Landscape Architects.
